Traffic control equipments are used by Southern Cross Traffic Management Team

Here are some other types of traffic control equipment that are used by our TM teams:
1. Barricades: These are larger, rigid barriers made of plastic or metal used to close off roads, lanes, or areas where work is being performed or for crowd control during events.
2. Variable Message Signs (VMS): These electronic signs display real-time information to motorists, such as traffic conditions, lane closures, detours, and emergency messages.
3. Traffic Cameras: Cameras are installed at strategic locations to monitor traffic flow, detect incidents, and assist with traffic management. They are often used in combination with VMS to provide live updates to drivers.
4. Speed Detection Devices: Radar guns and speed cameras are used to enforce speed limits and deter speeding violations. They capture the speed of vehicles and can automatically issue fines or citations.
5. Portable Traffic Lights: These temporary traffic signals are used during construction or roadwork to control traffic flow when regular traffic lights are non-operational.
6. Roadwork Signs and Barriers: Special signs and barriers are employed to notify drivers of roadwork zones, reduced speed limits, and potential hazards ahead.
